Sited in the municipality of Tondela (Viseu district) -  in the central part of Portugal - and with a microclimate all its own (due to its particular vegetation and relief) Caramulo  village once had the prime tuberculosis treatment facilities… it was the finest quality air in Portugal. 

Once the sanatoriums were put out of use, Caramulo veered towards charm tourism… and this Hotel is one such evidence! As you get inside, hospitality, coziness and romance fill up the air! Large room balconies seem to invite you to a communion with nature in all its splendour. All the natural beauty here surrounding you, together with the typical housing and people, makes us feel as if on a time travel.
